The Mission of Bath Primary and Junior High School

To provide the opportunity for all students to realize their full potential in all areas of the educational experience so that they develop and maintain positive values and be guided by them for life.

Vision Statement

The vision of Bath Primary and Junior High School is to provide the facilitators, students and other stakeholders with the necessary tools to enhance the teaching-learning process to achieve competence in literacy and numeracy geared toward building a productive society.

School History

Bath Primary and Junior High School is situated at the eastern end of Jamaica, in the parish of St. Thomas. It is approximately 48 km from the capital, Morant Bay. The School is close to the Bath Fountain Mineral Springs and the historical Bath Botanical Garden.

The Bath Primary and Junior High School was originally built as an All-Age school in 1960 to accommodate Four Hundred (400) students. The school was upgraded in 1991 under the Reform of Secondary Education (ROSE) Programme to a Primary and Junior High. A two story building was erected to house the Junior High School population in grades 7-9.

The school now has an enrollment of two hundred and eighty-seven (287) students. There is a certified staff of twenty five (25) which includes the Principal, Vice-principal and Guidance Counsellor.
